Information Technology Specialist

The Jackson County Public Library is taking applications for a full-time, permanent IT Specialist position with a base wage of $16.85 per hour. Salary depends on experience.

Benefits include paid participation in the Indiana Public Retirement System, paid life insurance and optional health, dental, and vision insurance, paid sick leave, holiday pay, one week paid vacation & one personal day after six months/second after one year.

Minimum qualifications: Computer science degree or equivalent experience, strong working knowledge of MS Office and mobile devices, Windows and BSD administration experience, strong PC/desktop support skills, ability to travel occasionally for library business.

Duties include: coordinating the library technology plan, technology grant applications, and staff technology training; maintaining technical operations for all library locations; serving as liaison for technology providers and the Evergreen Indiana helpdesk; supporting library-specific software applications; preparing monthly and annual reports, and serving on committees as requested.
