Red Ribbon Week

This week is dedicated to raising awareness of the destruction caused by drugs in America.  The Red Ribbon is a campaign that serves as a way to educate youth and encourage participation in drug prevention activities.  Join the community by wearing a red ribbon as a symbol to raise awareness.

The Jackson County Public Library has added Netflix to stream movies and television shows to 10 Kindle Fire devices that are pre-loaded with adult, young adult, and children’s e-books and apps for all ages. Columbus Day Closing

The Jackson County Public Library is closed for Columbus Day on Monday, October 9. Although the buildings are closed to the public, library staff members will participate in a Staff Development Day at an off-site location. Oktoberfest Hours

During Oktoberfest, the Jackson County Public Library will close the Seymour Library at noon on Thursday, October 5, and remain closed all day Friday, October 6, and Saturday, October 7, with the Friends of the Library accepting $5 donations for parking on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
