Dig Into Reading

Summer Reading Program

May 20-July 20, 2013

Participants may sign up online at home or on computers available at the Seymour, Crothersville and Medora libraries or on the Discovery Bus. Registration is May 20 - July 13 and the last day to claim prizes is July 20.

June 2-8: Carrot hats

June 9-15: Hedgehogs

July 7-13: Gnomes

 

Father's Day Craft

Thursday, June 13

2 pm OR 6 pm

Open to all

Registration is required.

Participants will make an "I Dig My Dad" gift and decorative bag for Father's Day.

 

Superman Day

Registration is required.

Celebrate the release of the new Superman movie by participating in themed activities, crafts and snacks!

Kids' Cooking Camp

For grades 3-7

10 am OR 1 pm

Monday, July 29-Friday, August 2

Registration is required.

 

Participants MUST be willing to meet all five days of the camp. Each class is limited to 15 students.

Georgiann Coons, Purdue Extension Family Nutrition Program Assistant, will teach students about MyPlate and food safety; shopping and label reading; grains, fruits, and vegetables; proteins and dairy; and meal and menu planning.

 

Ongoing Library Chess Club

Open to All Ages-Drop In & Enjoy!

Mondays, 5:30-8 pm

Check out chess games at the Information Desk upstairs.

Play at tables near New Books upstairs.

 

Whether you're just learning to play chess or have been playing for years, stop by the library on Monday evenings for casual games with players of all ages.

 

Ongoing Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Club

Open to All Ages-Drop In & Enjoy!

Tuesdays and Fridays, 3-6 pm

Seymour Library

Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Club meets at the Seymour Library every Tuesday and Friday from 3-6 pm. Club members meet upstairs at reserved tables in front of the Administration Suite. All ages are welcome to attend. Participants may bring their Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and duel with other Yu-Gi-Oh! fans.
