There are new Discovery Centers at the Seymour, Crothersville, and Medora libraries! The centers were made possible by a SIHO Community Services Endowment grant from the Community Foundation of Jackson County.
Play is critical in developing early language and literacy skills. Play encourages healthy brain development while fostering curiosity, language skills, social skills, physical development and imagination. Dramatic play, with its emphasis on oral language, is particularly beneficial for early literacy development.
