Jobs at the Library


The Jackson County Public Library is taking applications for a part-time library assistant at the Seymour Library Check Out Desk. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and technology skills. Prior customer service experience a plus!

Normal schedule for an average of 25 hours per week is:

· Tuesday 3 to 7 pm
· Wednesday 9:30 am to 5:30 pm
· Thursday 3 to 7 pm
· Friday 9 am to 6 pm
· Every third Saturday 9 am to 5 pm 

Duties include assisting customers, computer data entry, opening and closing duties, and various clerical assignments at the Seymour, Crothersville, and Medora libraries. 

Salary: $15/hour. 

Benefits: Immediate paid holidays if scheduled. Pro-rated vacation, personal, and sick days after six months.
