Food for Fines will end this coming Sunday, August 30—so bring in your food if you need to pay a fine!
Bring your non-perishable food donation to any Jackson County Public Library location. 1 food item equals $1 or less in overdue charges forgiven, so if you owe $5.50, you would need 6 non-perishable food items. All items must be unexpired, rust-free, clean and non-commodity. Collection agency accounts can participate if all items have been returned in good shape and the $10 fee has been paid. You can also make a donation even if you don’t have a fine.
Donations of non-perishable food items collected in lieu of fines are given to local food pantries at Human Services, Provisions Inc, and Anchor House in Seymour; Crothersville First Baptist Church; and Medora Christian Church.
